Software development

Build the tool your team wishes it had.

Perhaps you need an app for a regular job, a connection between two tools or an extra feature in software you already use. We build applications, browser extensions and plugins, including tools for Figma and Adobe apps. We use AI to help with development and check the work with code reviews and tests.

THOUGHTFUL SYSTEMS. PRACTICAL PEOPLE.
Software & product development

Useful apps, extra features and connected tools.

We build apps and add features to tools people already use, including websites, browsers, Figma and Adobe apps. We also use AI for development and code reviews, with testing and human checks. The technologies below are part of our experience; we’ll help you choose what fits.

  • Website plugins
  • Figma & Adobe app plugins
  • Browser extensions
  • JavaScript
  • Three.js
  • Ruby on Rails
  • React
  • PHP
  • GitHub
01 / Website product

MaxiBlocks

Our team designed and built this website builder and its design library, including the icons. It brings together our experience of making software and helping people use it.

02 / Website design tools

Divi Den

We have also built design libraries and tools for Divi. That work has taught us a lot about creating useful features and supporting the people who rely on them.

A simpler website

A simpler way to run a suitable website.

Some business websites can be rebuilt as straightforward HTML, CSS and JavaScript pages. You can keep useful content and design while reducing the software and plugins needed to run the site. We’ll check whether that approach suits how you update and use it.

01 /

Keep what works

We check your pages, forms and connections first. Together, we agree what to keep, what to improve and how you’ll update the content.

02 /

Check what the site needs

Simple pages may not need a content-management database or regular plugin updates. Forms, bookings, shops and logins still need suitable services, which we plan with you.

03 /

Have what you need to manage it

You get the files, setup instructions and a way to edit the content. We also explain hosting, domain renewals, other services and ongoing care costs.

Software for the job you need to do.

Built to work together.

Useful features, careful testing and clear instructions for your team.

Website plugins

Add a feature or connection to your website. Our team’s experience includes building MaxiBlocks and working on Divi Den.

02 /

Plugins for your apps

A plugin adds tools inside an app you already use. We can help with repeated design tasks and connections in apps such as Figma and Adobe, where the app supports them.

03 /

Browser extensions

Add a useful tool to your browser to help with repeated tasks or page information. We agree which browsers it will work in, what it can access and how your team will install it.

04 /

Apps and connected tools

Build a customer portal, an internal tool or a connection between applications. We choose the technology to suit the job and the software you already have.

05 /

Careful development

We use GitHub to keep track of changes and review code. AI helps us write and review code too, with tests and human checks before changes are used.

What is included

Know what is included and how to use it.

A useful starting point: an idea, a missing feature or software that needs attention. We’ll agree exactly what is included with you.

  • A plan for the features and how people will use them
  • The code for your agreed app, plugin, extension or connection
  • Access to the code and a clear way to review changes
  • Tests for important tasks and things that could go wrong
  • Setup instructions and a handover to your team
  • A plan for launch, fixes and ongoing care
Work and pricing

A clear quote for the work you need.

We quote once we’ve reviewed your software needs.

The quote depends on the features, existing code, tool connections and testing needed. We list launch, hosting, other software licences and ongoing support separately.

You’ll know what we’re doing, who handles each part and what it costs before we start.

Before we begin

A few practical questions.

Can you work on software we already have?

Yes. We look at the code, what it relies on and how it works today. Then we agree the changes and any repairs it needs.

Which technologies do you use?

Our experience includes JavaScript, Three.js, Ruby on Rails, React and PHP. You don’t need to choose these yourself. We’ll explain what suits the job and who will be looking after it.

What do we get at the end?

We agree ownership and access to the code, then provide the tests and instructions needed to use and maintain it. Hosting, other software licences and ongoing support are listed separately.

One useful place to start

Let’s talk about what would help.

An idea, a missing feature or software that needs attention. We can talk it through and work out a next step together.
